How are Ignik Warmers Recyclable?

Our Air Activated Warmers are 98% recyclable or compostable. The inner contents of the Air Activated Warmer pouches are fully compostable. When you are finished using the warmers, simply cut the pouch open and pour the contents into your compost. At this time the pouch itself is not recyclable or compostable, and still needs to be disposed of with mixed garbage. We are working on the problem of finding materials that are compostable or biodegradable and still able to regulate air flow to ensure the warmers function as they should. We are committed to moving closer to 100% recyclable/compostable warmers. 

Additionally, we package and ship our warmers in a cardboard box with paper labels, so all shipping materials can be recycled with cardboard or mixed paper. For more information about where to recycle our packaging materials, check out how2recycle.info for a list of recycling rules and drop-off locations near you.
